The three main types of mesothelioma are: 1) Pleural mesothelioma, 2) Peritoneal mesothelioma, and 3) Pericardial mesothelioma. Pleural mesothelioma (cancer of the pleura or lung lining) is by far the most common type making up about seventy five percent of all cases.
